How NOT to breastfeed in public...

Source
I'm not a prude, anyone who's ever met me will recognise that fact.  Hell, if the anti-slutshaming rants didn't clue you in, then the fact that I'm trying, with varying levels of success, to write an erotic novel should.  I'm all for people doing whatever the hell they want, provided it doesn't hurt anyone.

But when I read an article the other day about a woman breastfeeding in public, I have to confess I was shocked and more than a little disturbed.

  1. If you are going to turn, the signal is to change breasts.

  2. As a "breastfeeding nazi" I have to say this is the first time where I have to say that a woman should not have been breastfeeding!

    1. Yeah, it was less the breastfeeding and more the reckless endangerment that I had a problem with.

  4. I was one of those breast-feeding moms in the 1970's who didn't give a hoot about what anyone thought about my doing so in public. Your video link is right on. If I sat in a restaurant with my breast exposed and no baby around, it would have been perfectly acceptable. How did the thinking of some folks get all screwed up?

  5. My mom is still breast feeding me, is that inappropriate at age 33?

    1. Well that depends on whether it's you or your mum who's 33, and whether by "mother" you actually mean "professional sex worker I hired to fulfil a sexual fantasy".

  6. Good news is, if she ever gets lost in transit, hopefully she has leaky breasts that leave a trail for authorities to find her and her little sweet pea.

  7. I'm surprised she wasn't texting at the same time...

    1. LOL! One hand on the baby, one on the moped, I suppose she could have texted with her toes.

  8. First let me say that the video is wonderfully powerful...I loved it.

As for the idiot on the scooter....I can't even imagine what would possess a mother to be that reckless. I get upset when people don't strap their little ones into appropriate car seats...someone like that is should be charged with child endangerment.

    1. It was a great video, wasn't it. She' makes a lot of good points, and all in iambic pentameter.
